Snakebite kills two in Mahottari

Mahottari, July 2: Two persons were killed after being bitten by snakes at Gaushala of Mahottari district on Sunday.

Mahottari, July 2: Two persons were killed after being bitten by snakes at Gaushala of Mahottari district on Sunday. 


The deceased have been identified as Manish Raut, 11, of Gaushala-12, and Sushil Kumar Singh, 36, of Kantibazaar of Gaushala-12.

Manish died after the snake bit him when he was sleeping at his house on Sunday night. 


Similarly, Sushil fell unconscious after returning home from farm on Sunday evening and admitted to Bardibas-based Shuva Swastik Hospital, for treatment. 


Police Inspector at Area Police Office, Gaushala, Bhola Bhatta, said that the Hospital referred Sushil to Anti-Snake Venom Treatment Centre after knowing that Sushil was bitten by snake and later he died there in course of treatment.
