PALPA, Oct 25: Different campaigns have been launched in the district to garner support from lawmakers to get the impeachment motion against suspended chief of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Lokman Singh Karki endorsed by the parliament.
Different organizations have cautioned the lawmakers welcoming the motion through press releases, SMS and signature campaigns.

Chiefs of some nine organizations active in the district have welcomed the motion saying it as a good democratic practice. Issuing a statement, they have also requested the lawmakers to play a role to get the motion endorsed.

Civil society leaders have started a campaign of sending SMS to lawmakers.
“Honorable lawmaker, let’s respect democracy. Don’t forget your important role in getting the impeachment motion passed,” reads one of the SMS sent to the lawmakers.
