Six gamblers arrested with Rs 600,000 cash

KATHMANDU, Oct Police on Saturday night raided a gambling den and arrested six gamblers along with Rs 600,000 cash from Butwal.

Acting on a tip-off, a team deployed from Area Police Office, Butwal took the gamblers under control from Lal Prakash Thapa’s house based in Butwal Sub Mtropolitan City-14.

Police also seized four sets of play cards, a blanket, cowries and other paraphernalia and have charged them under the Gambling Act 2020, police told Republica Online.
