MAKWANPUR, Sept 22: Six people died in a bus accident in Jurikhet of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality of Makwanpur on Thursday. At around 3:30 in the afternoon, the accident occurred when the bus (Ba 3 B 7858) went out of control and fell down about 50 meters from the road.


Chief of the District Police Office, Makwanpur, SP Bamdev Gautam said that six  people died on the spot. A police team led by him has reached the accident site. The police team rescued the injured and sent them for treatment. Gautam said that the deceased have not been identified yet.

The bus coming from Kathmandu toward Hetauda met with the accident on the 11th turn of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-6 in Jurikhet. About 18 to 20 people are injured. “We have put them in three cars and sent them for treatment,” Gautam said, “Other details are yet to come.” A lot of accidents happen on this road section.
