POKHARA, Sept 3: Six persons died and two have gone missing after a landslide swept away their houses in various part of Parbat.
According to Parbat Police Chief DSP Shivaraj Budhathoki, Kaushilya Poudel, 75 and her granddaughters Vimala, 15, and Vinita, 11 died when the landslide buried their home Kushma municipality-1, Durlung. Kaushilya's daughter-in-law Bhagwati, 35, and her son Binod Poudel, 9, are missing. “The landslide that occurred at midnight buried their home,” said DSP Budhathoki.
Similarly, two persons were killed when a landslide buried their house at Kushma 11 in Parbat. The deceased have been identified as Durga Poudel, 35, and her son Ganesh Poudel, 6. Likewise, a 50-year-old local Phulmaya Thapa was killed in a landslide in Modi village municipality-5.
