Sipritual aspect of management

Sipritual aspect of management

When we go through the definition of management, there could be scores of answers that can be referred to. But, to be honest, one thing that really strikes me is the spiritual facet of management and how if it has been mingled with our studies of management.

Evidently some might shower hostility at the issue of spirituality in management. While on the other hand, there are people who follow the principles of spirituality in management and feel benefitted by bringing the principle of spiritual management into play. However, everyone is entitled to their own logic as well as definition, no matter the stature.

Spirituality in management can lead to create an atmosphere of special culture, special work-ethics, uncommon employee’s motivation towards their works, and ultimately the exclusive care taken both by employers and the employees in a work place.

Spiritual management basically entails dealing with the employees and labor on the grounds of humanity rather than the traditional approach hierarchy. Although a professional chain of command needs to be maintained, humanity is equally important. The traditional approach quite often creates chaos and unrest among the work force and ultimately in the companies. This is the reason why people often find themselves grinded in a congested atmosphere. Indeed, they certainly need some fresh air, and spiritual management offers them much relief at the end of a day.

Bhagavat Gita quotes Lord Krishna as saying, “We have a right to perform our prescribed duty, but we are not entitled to the fruits of our action.” But a down to earth realization, as in today’s world, such lessons are merely ignored.

Needless to say, we are in the age of cut-throat competition among rigorous contenders. Apart from that, the entire world is being challenged in terms of maintaining quality standard, providing sufficient amount of employment opportunities, corruption, climate change agendas, power struggles and rise of superpowers, global health crisis, energy and environmental security issues.

Thereupon, we should not forget our individual responsibilities when it comes to fulfilling our commitments so that the world can be a better place to live in. As the chain of ecosystem is tied in and around us, a small act of negligence can cause dire straits, while an act of conscious kindness can be significant in intriguing a whim of change.

To sum up, let us ‘carefully consider’ such issues on a serious note in the days to come. Precisely, our marks, which has always been a subjective learning manipulation. Let us integrate spirituality and arts of humanity into management to see if our knowledge and wisdom can transcend its customary boundaries.
