Singer Gurung cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: The last rites of late singer Khem Raj Gurung was performed at Pashupati Aryaghat on Sunday evening.

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: The last rites of late singer Khem Raj Gurung was performed at Pashupati  Aryaghat on Sunday evening. 


Before that, Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki among others offered last condolence to the popular singer at Nepal Academy.

On the occasion, CPN-UML Acting Chairman Bamdev Gautam draped the Gurung’s body with the party’s flag.


Earlier today, the dead body was taken to his home district Sankhuwasabha through a chopper for condolence.


Gurung, who was best known for his hit song "Wari Jamuna Pari Jamuna," died on Thursday at Medicare National Hospital and Research Centre, Kathmandu at the age of 42 years.
