UCPN (Maoist) Secretary CP Gajurel reached Dhulikhel Hospital to inquire about the injured undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The 41 passengers had died after the bus fell 700 meters down from a cliff at Gairipuchar in the Mulkot section of the Banepa-Sindhuli-Bardibas road.
The deceased so far identified are Yuvraj Shrestha of Bhimeswar-7, Sindhuli, Khus Bahadur Shrestha of Bhimeswar-8, Sindhuli, Bikash Pariyar of Kamalamai Municipality-3, Sindhuli, Singha Bahadur Khadka of Udaypur, 35-year-old Bir Bahadur Tamang of Purano Jhangajholi-9, Sindhuli, Prem Bahadur Thapa Magar of Bhadrakali-3, Sandip Karki of Kamalamai Municipality-5, Iswor Pokharel of Kamalamai Municipality-5, and Sita Gautam of Daandi Guranse-6.
Likewise, Madan Shrestha of Ranichuri-2, Bishnu Karki of Ranibas-5, Bibek Baral of Basheshowr-7,Baliram Karki of Jarayotaar-9, Purna Bahadur Alemagar of Bhadrakali-3, Rakesh Dhakal of Kamalamai Municipality-4, Sushila BK of KM-4, Shyam BK of KM-4, Kritika Shrestha of Dhulikhel-5, Pramila Shrestha of Bhimsthan-5, Yashu Jargha Magar of Teenkanya-8, Lal Bahadur Lungeli Magar of Ratanchura-9, Sangita Ghana Magar of Lampantaar-6, Bir Bahadur Mudel of Ranichuri-7, Bhavani Adhikari of Suryavinayak, Bhaktapur , Anju Dhakal of KM-5, Shankar Khadka of Gaighat, Udaypur and Chandra Gopal Shrestha of Dhulikhel-5 were killed in the mishap.
Samar Bahadur Joshi, Phulkumari Joshi, Namita Joshi, Chandika Joshi of Kathmandu and Prabal Joshi of Ranichuri-1also died in the accident.
According to the police, all the five belonged to one family. The identities of the rest are yet to be ascertained, informed police sub inspector Mahendra Prasad Yadav of District Police Office, Sindhuli.
