Presently, the fares for connecting flights departing from Nepal have been maintained at a minimum of Rs 89,000. Notably, airlines like Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Air India are already offering flight services to Australia.
The expansion of flight services to Australia aligns with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions and the reopening of China's border. Airlines such as China Himalaya, China Southern, Sichuan Air, Air China, Tibet Air, among others, have resumed regular operations between China and Kathmandu. As a result, the Tribhuvan International Airport is currently hosting a total of 46 daily international flights.
