KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Shree Kumari Club has climbed to the top of the table in the Martyrs Memorial B Division League defeating Satdobato Youth Club 5-0 on Tuesday.
In the only match played at ANFA Complex, Nir Bahadur Ale scored a first-half brace for Shree Kumari in the 27th and 45th minutes of the match. Kuldip Karki then scored with a long range goal after his shot from the halfway beat Satdobato's goalkeeper Purna Chemjong. While attempting to save the shot, Purna injured himself and was substituted.
Shree Kumari piled up more pressure on Satdobato and as a result Tanka Bahadur Singdan scored in the 83rd minute and took his league tally to seven goals. It was Captain Sanjib Kumar Karki who scored the last goal of the match in injury time and made the scoreline 5-0. Sanjib's goal was the 150th goal of the ongoing league.
Similarly, in the first match of the day played at APF ground, Halchowk, Tushal Youth Club beat Madhyapur Youth Association 2-1. Bikash Gauchan opened the scoring for Tushal in the 20th minute while Dinesh Henjan doubled the lead in the 63rd minute. Bishon Gurung reduced the deficit in the 70th minute for Madhyapur but that wasn't enough to stop his side from defeat. After the win, Tushal remained at 10th position in the table with ten points while Madhyapur, which is having disappointing league campaign, is now 12th with just seven points.
In another match played at Halchowk, Chyasal Youth Club registered a 1-0 victory over Mahabir Club. Chetan Kumar Tharu scored the only goal of the match in the 62nd minute which was enough for Chyasal to seal the victory. Chyasal which has now won six matches out of nine is in the second position in the league with 19 points while loser Mahabir is at the rock bottom of the table with just one point.
