Tihar is a five-day long festival of humility and giveaways where adults get busy in the ritualistic aspects, while younger ones make tireless efforts to shop gifts for friends and family. In this festival, not only humans and deities, but also animals and birds like dogs, cows and crows are worshipped for their invaluable contribution for human life.
