Big Boss 13 fame Shehnaaz Gill recently attended the Empowerment of Girl Child campaign hosted by Brahmakumaris in Delhi, where she discussed the importance of gender equality and girl empowerment.
"I want to say that stop making girls feel small. I am also a girl. It shouldn't be that brothers should walk ahead of their sisters. If the brother will go, then the sister will go. Girls should not feel scared. Boys and girls shouldn't be differentiated. We all should think we are souls then no one can harm us. Competition, comparison, and dishonesty will fade away if we think like this," she said.
Furthermore, during her interaction, the singer-actor turned emotional while talking about attachment and love and highlighting the difference between the two.
"Attachment hurts but love is pure. You don't cry when you love someone. Whatever relationships you have with your brother, husband etc are temporary and will remain here only," she said.
"Only God loves you truly. If you want pure love, develop a connection with your god. For me, the people who have really supported me and made me strong are the Brahmakumaris," she further adds in her statement.

This is not the first time Shehnaaz has been associated with the organization.
Earlier, the Honsla Rakh actress shared a detailed account of her mental and spiritual journey in an exclusive conversation with spiritual teacher Sister BK Shivani.
In the video interaction, not only did Shehnaaz talk about the negative thoughts that tormented her for a long time, but she also shared invaluable advice on how one can cope with loss.
“Kayi log sochte hain, nahi ab nahi mujhe rehna. Ab to main mar bhi jau to accha hai, logon ki wording hai ye. Matlab meri bhi thi ki humein to ab nahi rehna chahiye, humein to aisa karna chahiye. Ab main kya karungi," she shared.
However, she highlights how our thoughts are shaped by the attitude we hold towards life, that the road to positivity is determined by the thoughts in our mind and what we believe in our hearts. Regardless of how loved you are by others, your family and your friends, at the end of the day, it all comes down to how you treat yourself, she says.
