Sharma set to direct ‘Jai Bhole’ after 12 years

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Veteran producer Ashok Sharma has announced that he will direct a new movie called ‘Jai Bhole’ amid a function in Kathmandu on Thursday. According to press statement released by the film production team, the comedy movie will be based on social issues.

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Veteran producer Ashok Sharma has announced that he will direct a new movie called ‘Jai Bhole’ amid a function in Kathmandu on Thursday. According to press statement released by the film production team, the comedy movie will be based on social issues. 


The shooting of the movie will begin from Maha Shivaratri and it is set to release in upcoming Dashain. Khagdendra Lamichane is the scriptwriter and also the lead character.

Along with Lamichane, actors Saugat Malla, Swastima Khadka, Salon Basnet and Raja Ram Poudel are playing various roles in the movie. This is Sharma’s comeback in the directorial world after 12 years. His last movie was ‘Mitini’. 


The movie is about friendship between two boys and about love. “I believe that my creativity will be polished through this upcoming movie,” said Sharma. 


Likewise, producer Vaskar Dugana stated that ‘Jai Bhole’ is about the union of new and traditional generations. Set to be made with a budget of Rs 10 million, the movie will be shot in Jhapa and Illam.
