KATHMANDU, June 15: All the seven provinces in the country are announcing their budgets for fiscal year 2022/23 on Wednesday.
The government has given a total ceiling of Rs 261 billion for the annual financial plans of these provinces. All of these provincial governments have given high priorities to and allocated adequate funds for agriculture, tourism, road, drinking water and employment opportunities through their annual policies and programs.
The present constitution has mandated the provincial governments to announce their budget for the next fiscal year on June 15, around 15 days after the announcement of the federal budget. Last year, the provinces announced a combined budget of Rs 261.82 billion for the current fiscal year.
