KATHMANDU, Aug 25: Seven people have been found dead at separate locations in six districts of Nepal, according to police.
The bodies were recovered from Parsa, Dolakha, Makwanpur, Dhading, Kapilvastu and Salyan on Monday and Tuesday.
In Parsa, an unidentified man believed to be around 40 was found dead in a canal in Harpatganj, Birgunj Metropolitan City-20, on Monday.
Three found dead in separate places on Monday
In Dolakha, 61-year-old Bir Bahadur Tamang of Melung Rural Municipality-4 was found dead in the eaves of a neighbour’s house on Monday.
In Makwanpur, 74-year-old Surya Prasad Dahal of Namuna Chowk in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-11 was found dead at his home on Monday.
In Dhading, 41-year-old Badri Adhikari of Tarkeshwar Rural Municipality-3, Nuwakot, who operated the Sharma Hotel in Malekhu Bazaar, Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-3, was found dead behind the hotel on Tuesday.
Two people were also found dead at separate locations in Kapilvastu. Sixty-year-old Subash Agrahari of Mayadevi Rural Municipality-1 was found dead on a road in Bimiyā, Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality-6, on Monday. Likewise, 30-year-old Prakash Chaudhary of Banganga Municipality-5 was found dead in a canal in the same area.
In Salyan, 72-year-old Deurup Dangi of Gangadev Rural Municipality-4, Rolpa, was found dead in Bafukhola, Bagchaur Municipality-11, on Monday.
Police said investigations are underway to determine the circumstances and causes of the deaths.
