KATHMANDU, Mar 10: As many as seven ordinances are to be tabled at the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.

The meeting of HoR is being held for the second time at 1PM today after the Supreme Court decided to reinstate the dissolved lower house of parliament.

According to the parliament secretariat, the meeting will also pass a proposal of mourning resolution of 14 deceased parliamentarians.

The ordinances are scheduled to be tabled by Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Minister for Health and Population Hirdayesh Triphati and Minister for Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Lekhnath Shrestha.

Earlier, the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) was put off until March 10 after lawmakers belonging to the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) and Janata Samabadi Party (JSP) started protesting demanding withdrawal of the controversial ordinance on the Constitutional Council (CC).

Likewise, the lawmakers close to the Dahal-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) had walked out of parliament as the House meeting was underway.
