KHOTANG, Jan 3: Seven houses have been gutted to fire in Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-7, Mahadevsthan of Khotang district on Tuesday evening. 

District Police Office, Khotang  said the fire started from the house of Magam Rai at around 7:30 PM and spread to other six houses before it was taken in the control. The reason of the fire is still uncertain and the police have started to investigate to find the actual loss. Four houses have been completely destroyed and three houses have been partially damaged.

The fire was in control before the arrival of the fire engine. The villagers and local police put off the fire after one hour.
