RUPANDEHI, June 25: Seven HIV infected women have given birth to health babies at Lumbini Zonal Hospital, Butwal.
Medical Department Chief at the Hospital, Bikas Devkota, said that the seven HIV Infected women, taking regular medicine, have given birth to healthy babies in two years.
A HIV infected woman can give delivery to a healthy baby as there was only four percent of chance of transmitting the disease to the baby after consumption of antiretroviral medicine.
An organization has been providing the service at the Lumbini Zonal Hospital with the coordination of the government of Nepal. RSS
