Seven construction companies blacklisted

KATHMANDU, Jan 20: The government has blacklisted seven construction companies. 


Issuing a public notice on Thursday, the Public Procurement Monitoring Office blacklisted the seven companies saying that they failed to complete the development projects on time as per the contract.


A meeting of the Office held on Wednesday decided to blacklist the construction companies for one to three years effective from Thursday as per the Section 63 (1) of the Public Procurement Act-2063.

Arogya Construction Pvt Ltd, Maharajgunj, of Kathmandu was blacklisted for three years as per the recommendation made by the Infrastructure Development Office, Salyan, of Karnali Province.


Similarly, Diagnose Jay Sambhu JV, Handigaun of Kathmandu was blacklisted for two year at the recommendation of Rapti Academy of Health Sciences, Ghorahi, Dang.


Others companies blacklisted for one year include Tulasipur-based Balan Brothers Construction and Suppliers, Bardan Consultant and Construction Pvt Ltd, Anamnagar-based Green Take Project Pvt Ltd, SNC Constriction Service Pvt Ltd, Sonari, Banke and Shah Construction Service Company, Rupandehi.  


The blacklisted companies will not be allowed to participate in the biddings and construction works called by the government bodies in the blacklisted period.
