KATHMANDU, March 29: Seto Machchindranath's Rath Yatra (chariot procession) is starting from today. The procession will start from Machhindra Bahal to Tindhara Pathshala at 4 pm today.
The chariot procession will begin at 5 pm to 6:30 pm via Jamal, Ratnapark, and will reach Bhotahiti via Asan.
Then on March 30, the chariot will be pulled from Asan to Balkumari, Kel Tole, Indrachok, Makhan and Hanuman Dhoka from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.
On the next day, the festival will start from 4 pm to 6:30 pm with chariot procession taken to Hanumandhoka, Chinkmugal, Jaishidewal and Jyabahal.
On April 1, the chariot procession will commence from 5:30 pm at Lagan, where the god is pulled around the temple of Seto Machindranath’s mother, which is known as (Ama Rukh Parikrama) till 6:30 pm.
On April 2, the procession will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. through Lagan, Jibahal, Dyah Lan, Yutunni, Kohiti, Bhimsen Than, Maru, Yetkha, Naradevi, Kilagal, Bhedasingh, Keltol and Machhindrabhal.
