Septuagenarian dies while attending PM's program in Rara

Mugu, April 15: A 65-year-old man died while attending the inauguration of Karnali-Rara Tourism Year program at Rara Lake in Mugu district on Saturday. 

Ward committee member Kali Bahadur Malla had traveled on foot for five hours from Kanakasundari Rural Municipality to Rara on the same day to listen to Prime Minister K P Oli's speech. According to DSP Bhimkiran Bogati of the District Police Office, Malla was rushed to a primary healthcare center established near the lake after he fainted while attending the program. Doctor Bipin Kafle said he breathed his last during before the doctors could start any treatment. According to the doctor, the victim's blood sugar level was found to be low. 

Family of the deceased has received the body, said police.
