Rastrakavi Madhav Prasad Ghimire has turned 100 Sunday. Ghimire is widely known by readers of Nepali literature for his patriotic writings. 
‘Gauri’, ‘Himalwaari Himalpaari’, ‘Malati Mangale’, ‘Rajeshwari’, ‘Shakuntala’ and ‘Aswathama’ are the national poet’s most acclaimed works of literature and holds the title of the Rastrakavi (Poet to the Nation) for his outstanding contribution to the Nepali literature. Ghimire is also an Honorary Brigadier General of Nepal Army. 

Nepal likely to become first country to double tiger population
On the occasion of National Conservation Day today, Nepal announced that there are now an estimated 235 wild tigers in the country, nearly doubling the baseline of around 121 tigers in 2009. If these trends continue, Nepal could become the first country to double its national tiger population since the ambitious TX2 goal – to double the world’s wild tiger population by 2022 – was set at the St Petersburg Tiger Summit in 2010

Komal Oli worried about Dashain ticket fares
Komal Oli, member of the National Assembly has shown dissatisfaction about the increased bus fare along with the approach of national festival ‘Dashain’.

“Tickets are finished within the same day and later they are found to be sold in blacks”, Oli stressed while speaking at the National Assembly today.
