Gyanendra Shahi, one of the individuals present inside the aircraft in Nepalgunj, was attacked on Sunday during a press conference in Lalitpur. He is currently in police custody and the police are working to file charges against him. Minister Bhattarai issued a non-apology apology Saturday evening, blaming “monarchists” for the chaos in Nepalgunj airport. People on social media have strongly condemned such a threat and netizens are mocking the two-thirds government for poor handling of an incident in Nepalgunj.

Nine journalists arrested from Singha Durbar

Those arrested include Secretary of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Ram Prasad Dahal, FNJ Central Committee Members Yam Birahi, Janmadev Jaisi, Min Bom, FNJ Doti chapter president Yogendra Balayar, Ajayababu Siwakoti, the general secretary of Press Union and journalists Dilip Poudel, Prakash Bam and Chakra Kunwar. 

Jhapa records more than 500 dengue patients

Two people have died due to dengue in Jhapa district so far. Although no death attributed to dengue has occurred in Jhapa this year, an alarming situation might arise if the number of infected people increases at the present rate, District Public Health Office Information Officer Kul Bahadur Poudel said.
