Police arrest five Chinese nationals in connection with ATM card fraud

Five Chinese nationals were arrested in Kathmandu for their involvement in stealing millions of rupees from bank accounts by forging ATM cards of Nabil Bank subscribers on Saturday night. Acting on a tip-off, a team of Nepal Police arrested the Chinese nationals when they were stealing millions of rupees from bank accounts by forging ATM cards of Nabil Bank subscribers at Durbarmarg in Kathmandu.

Ruling, opposition party lawmakers accuse govt of failing to control Dengue outbreak
Ruling and the opposition party lawmakers have accused the Oli-led administration of failing to control Dengue outbreak in various parts of the country. Speaking at a meeting of the Parliamentary Education and Health Committee on Sunday, the ruling Nepal Communist Party lawmakers Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Anjana Bishankhe said that the government is failing to enforce measures to control Dengue outbreak.

 

15 injured in Dhading jeep accident

Fifteen people were injured when a Bolero jeep met with an accident in Dhading district on Sunday morning. The incident occurred when the ill-fated jeep (Ga 1 Ja 5431) en route to Dhadingbesi skidded off the road and fell some 500 meters down into the gorge at Dhaukhola area in Jwalamukhi rural municipality-6.

Govt to set up libraries at all local levels: Minister Pokharel

Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel said on Sunday that the government is making preparations to set up well-equipped libraries at all local bodies.
