Senior journalist Pushkar Lal Shrestha no more

KATHMANDU, April 17: Senior journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Kamana News Publication, Pushkar Lal Shrestha (60), passed away today. 

He was admitted to Norvic Hospital at Thapathali, Kathmandu where he was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome. He was then referred to Medanta Hospital in Haryana, India for further treatment.

Guillain-Barré syndrome is a rare disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks the nerves. Weakness and tingling in your extremities are usually the first symptoms. These sensations can quickly spread, eventually paralyzing the whole body.

Late Shrestha’s last rites will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat today itself, according to family sources.
