Seminar on Belt and Road Initiative held

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized a daylong seminar on 'Strengthening cooperation to promote the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative between Nepal and China' in Kathmandu on Monday.

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized a daylong seminar on 'Strengthening cooperation to promote the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative between Nepal and China' in Kathmandu on Monday. The seminar, which was chaired by Foreign Affairs Secretary Shankar Das Bairagi, also saw the presence of the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yang Houlan. During the event, the role of Nepal as a bridge between India and China was discussed, along with the areas where Nepal should focus on to take maximum advantage of the Belt Road Initiative (BRI), according to a statement issued on Monday. Speaking at the program, Chinese Ambassador, Yang Houlan, said that BRI was a common platform for all member nations to flourish.
