KATHMANDU, July 15: The search operation for the two buses and passengers that went missing in the Trishuli River continues for the fourth day.


On Friday, two buses carrying passengers fell into the Trishuli River due to a landslide at Simaltal along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section. The search operation resumed at 7AM today.

According to the District Administration Office, Chitwan, all available resources are being used to search for the buses and the passengers on them.


Assistant Chief District Officer Khimanand Bhusal stated that the search operation has been ongoing since morning, with a team of divers actively searching for the buses, hoping for a successful outcome.


So far, 11 bodies have been recovered, while the search for the others continues.


There were 65 passengers on the buses, one traveling from Kathmandu to Rautahat and the other from Birgunj to Kathmandu.
