KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Supreme Court on Thursday issued an interim order against government decision to implement embossed number plates. A single bench of Chief Justice Gopal Prasad Parajuli issued the order in response to a writ petition that demanded devnagari script in the number plate. The writ petition was filed by advocate Bharat Basnet. The apex court has ordered concerned government authorities to furnish written clarifications within seven days as to why Devnagari script could not be used in the number plates.
