RAUTAHAT, July 12: An Indian scorpio jeep carrying wedding-goers to Sarlahi from Rautahat met with an accident. Two people have died in the accident.


The accident occurred at 9 AM, when the Scorpio (HR 70 D 8382) met with an accident in Gadhimai Municipality-6, Rautahat along the Dhampur road section after the driver lost control over the vehicle.

According to the District Police Office, Rautahat, the deceased have been identified as Kul Bahadur Shrestha, 55, and Sweta Pandit, 7, the daughter of Rabindra Pandit.


Police said that 5 out of 12 on board the ill-fated vehicle are in normal condition while three others, yet to be identified, are receiving treatment at a local hospital.
