Scores hit capital streets in support of Dr KC

KATHMANDU, July 16:  Scores of people representing different unions, civil society leaders and human rights activists on Saturday took to the streets in support of Dr Govinda KC in the capital.

Around 200 demonstrators displaying placards with slogans “Netajati Gadima, Yubajati Khadima,” Mafiako Mission, Citamolma Commission (Leaders are enjoying state facilities while Nepali youths are toiling hard in Middle East for mere bread and butter, mafias are engaged in reaping benefits from medicine (paracetamol),” had reached Baneshwar from Maitighar Mandala.

“Our health is at our own hand and we are always with Dr KC. If KC is a lunatic we all are lunatics,” reads the slogan.

Senor orthopedic surgeon Dr KC at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital has been staging fast-unto-death demanding reforms in medical education sector and impeachment of CIAA Chief Lokman Singh Karki for the last six days.
