DOTI, Sept 5: All schools that remained closed for a long time due to COVID-19 pandemic in Doti district are resuming physical classes from Sunday.
Acting Chief District Officer Kiran Joshi said that schools in all nine local levels are resuming their physical classes from Sunday after the District Administration Office entrusted them with the responsibility to take decision whether to resume physical classes in schools to the local level. "As there is no risk of COVID-19, we have given the responsibility of running the schools to the local level. The school will open from Sunday," he said.
A meeting of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee chaired by CDO Joshi on Saturday gave the responsibility to run the schools to the local level. Accordingly, the local level education committee has decided to open the school following the health safety protocols from September 5.
Officials at the Education Development Office said a decision has been made to run all the community and institutional schools at every local level by fulfilling all the criteria related to health safety against COVID-19. The DAO has requested all to conduct classes at different times based on the number of students by following health safety protocols while resuming physical classes at schools.
