MANGALBARE, July 26: Amid increasing cases of viral fever in Ilam district, the schools here have been closed for weeks.
All private schools in Ilam Municipality were closed for a few days as the number of children suffering from the viral fever is going up lately.
Of late, Panchakanya English School and Emerald International Academy of Suryodaya Municipality have been closed for a week. It was informed that the schools were closed even as examinations were going on.
The doctors have said that it could be a viral fever.
Primary Health Centers from Phikkal Bazaar and Mangalbare have witnessed throngs of patients with viral fever. Even the private hospitals and medical shops are crowded seeking health services.
Fever, common cold, body and throat ache, and limb pain are the symptoms of viral fever. The children have witnessed fever irregularly. Some of them have also experienced nausea.
The overflow of patients has forced the health facilities to treat them by keeping them on the floor as well.
