BUTWAL, Aug 29: A school principal has landed in a police net on sexual abuse charges in Rupandehi district on Wednesday.

Police arrested Toyaram Paudel, principal of Gyanpunj Boarding School based in Butwal Municipality-11.

Paudel was arrested following a complaint lodged by 10th grader female student at Butwal-based Area Police Office.

Students and guardians picketed the school demanding stringent action against the corrupt principal since early Wednesday.

A large number of security personnel were deployed after the irate mob vandalized the school.

The victim has accused Paudel of touching her private parts and molesting her by calling her in a secluded place at night.

On the other hand, Paudel has denied the charges saying that it was a premeditated conspiracy to tarnish his image.
