KATHMANDU, July17: Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited (SCBNL) has been named the winner of '2016 Euromoney Awards for Excellence' for Nepal.

Issuing a statement, the bank said that it bagged the award by the Euromoney, a leading global publication in financial markets, in succession.

Earlier in 2015 also, the bank was awarded with 'Euromoney Awards for Excellence' and 'The World's Best Emerging Markets Banks' toward retail banking and consumer banking respectively.

"The recognition of Standard Chartered Bank has come as a result of its ability to deliver on its strategy, progress on its digital agenda, its ability to create differentiation and for maintaining reasonable business momentum despite challenges in year 2015," read the statement of the bank.
