KATHMANDU Aug 31: The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an order to the government and the Election Commission to make public the preparation underway for local body election in the changed context.
A divisional bench of Justice Devendra Gopal Shrestha and Hari Krishna Karki issued the directive to keep abreast of the preparation being carried out for holding local body election in the changed context.
Petitioners including advocate Dr Chandra Kanta Gyawali on May 3 had filed a writ at the apex court demanding the fixation of date for local body election at the earliest possible. RSS
