KATHMANDU, June 6: Supreme Court has ordered action against the staffs including secretary of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) for failing to furnish the necessary documents and not being cooperative in the judicial process.
A session bench of Justices Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada and Sapana Pradhan Malla on Thursday issued an order citing that the officers including secretary did not cooperate in the judicial process in the corruption cases filed by the anti-graft body itself.
The apex court issued the order while hearing the corruption cases of Govinda Raj Joshi, Tara Raj Pandey, Dinesh Raj Joshi and Basu Dev Panta among others and asked the CIAA to submit all files related to the cases for five times. However, the CIAA failed to submit the necessary documents sought by the court.
