KATHMANDU, Nov 28: The Supreme Court has acquitted gangster Milan Gurung also known as Chakre Milan of a murder charge.

A division bench of justices Meera Khadka and Tej Bahadur KC upholding the decisions of the Kathmandu District Court and the then Patan Appellate Court acquitted him of the charge of killing sand dealer Pahalman Tamang. Tamang was killed a few years ago.
Challenging the lower court decision, the government had moved the apex court three years ago.
