KATHMANDU, July 24: Three members of the same family lost their lives in the Saurya Airlines plane accident on Wednesday.
Manu Raj Sharma, a technician of Saurya Airlines, his wife Priza Khatiwada and their four-year old son Adhi Raj Sharma, died in the accident.

Priza worked as an assistant computer operator at the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, while Manu Raj was employed as a technician at Saurya Airlines.
The statement issued by Saurya Airlines said that Priza and her son were initially identified as employees of the company, but it was later revealed that they were passengers.
According to Jasoda Subedi, spokesperson for the Pokhara Regional International Airport, the Saurya Airlines plane had taken off for Pokhara for a technical test, due to a well-equipped ‘hangar’ in Pokhara. However, the aircraft met with an accident near the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) during the take-off, killing 18 of the 19 people on board.
