The Nepali translation of two books ‘Sattebaj Fyauro 'and ‘Tate Mau Syal’ written by popular Chinese writer Shen Shixi is now available at bookstores in Nepal.

Makalu Publication House with collaboration with Foreign Language Teaching and Research Company has published the Chinese books titled ‘The Trader Fox’ and ‘Scarface The Mother Jackal’ into translation of Nepali language ‘Sattebaj Fyauro’ and ‘Tate Mau Syal’, which is now available in the bookstores.
The story collection titled ‘The Trader Fox’ has been translated by Rabindra Timilsina while the book named ‘Scarface The Mother Jackal’ has been translated from English to Nepali language by Dr Bimal Subedi.
The book ‘Scarface The Mother Jackal’ has been successful in winning the 13th China Book Award.
In both of these books, humans including wild and domestic animals have been portrayed as characters. Bashudev Dhakal, director of Makalu Publication House, said that these works are readable as they provide enough information about the behavior and emotional intelligence of animals and also compare them with human behavior and raise ethical and environmental issues.
Shixi, a Chinese writer based in Shanghai, is considered the Chinese King of children's fiction and animal stories and novels. He has been awarded the National Award for Outstanding Children's Literature by the Chinese Writers' Association three times and has received numerous honors and awards. He has also won the China Book Award many times. Other major works of Shixi include ‘The Glorious Dream of the Mother Wolf’ and ‘The Seventh Hunting Dog.’
