JANAKPURDHAM, Jan 4: CPN-UML has elected Saroj Yadav as the leader of the parliamentary party (PP) in Madhesh province assembly. The Madhesh Province Party Committee unanimously elected Yadav as the leader of the party.
The UML PP meeting was held in Janakpur on Tuesday to elect the party leader. The province committee was given the responsibility of selecting the PP leader.
Yadav, who is also a central member of UML, was elected from Mahottari Constituency 4 (A).
Senior leaders including Ramchandra Mandal, Hari Narayan Mahato, Rajkumar Lekhi, who are also central members of the party, agreed to unanimously elect Yadav as the PP leader.
In Madhesh Province, the UML is the largest party with 23 members.
