SAPTARI, March 8: The death toll in Tuesday's Saptari incident has reached four after an injured person died on Wednesday.
Birendra Mehata, one of the injured, died while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan. He was 25.
Mehata, a local of Maleth VDC-2 of Saptari, breathed his last in the afternoon, confirmed the hospital administration. He was hospitalized after being severely injured in the clash with the security personnel deployed to prevent clashes between the cadres of the CPN-UML and UDMF.
Three more injured who sustained bullet wounds in the incident are still undergoing treatment at BPKIHS. Indra Yadav, Dilip Yadav and Digambar Yadav had sustained serious injuries. Among them, Indra's condition has been reported to be critical.
