Saptakoshi River records highest water-level of this year

KATHMANDU, August 29: The Saptakoshi River has recorded the highest water-level of this year.

Incessant rainfall in recent days has caused the water-level in the river  to rise.

According to the latest data of the Koshi Barrage Control Room, the water flow has reached 257,790 cubic meter per second.

With the rise in the water level, 35 doors of the barrage have been opened.

Prior to this, the highest water-level in the Saptakoshi was recorded at the highest of 256,020 quintal per second in this year.

The country is witnessing a rise in water levels in most of the rivers across the country.
