Sanghai remanded to 7-day judicial custody

KATHMANDU, Aug 2: Lalitpur District Court on Wednesday sent former Board member of Everest Insurance and Owner of HP Gas Pvt. Ltd.  Ratan  Sanghai and three others to a seven-day of judicial custody.

They were presented before the court seeking time for investigation into a charge of drugs trafficking leveled against them, said SSP Ganesh KC.

Narcotics Control Bureau had arrested Sanghai on Sunday.

Last Wednesday, police raided the factory and seized more than 400 kilograms of raw drug materials from the warehouse of Sanghai Plastic Industry.

Located in Patan Industrial Area, Sanghai Plastic Factory had hidden the same type of raw drugs material in 952 compartments.
