KATHMANDU, Nov 4: Rape-accused cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane will be sent to Central Jail, Sundhara.
The District Court Kathmandu on Friday ordered the authorities to keep him in prison and continue the investigation against him. “Along with the order, he was asked to be sent to Central Jail, Sundhara, District Police Complex, Kathmandu,” said SP Dineshraj Mainali.

On September 6, a 17-year-old girl lodged a complaint at the Gaushala Police Station, accusing Lamichhane of raping her in a hotel room. Lamichhane surrendered to the police on October 6. He has been denying the allegations leveled against him.
The court on Tuesday recorded statements in connection with the rape case against Sandeep Lamichhane that was registered at the Kathmandu District Court (KDC) on October 31.
