KATHMANDU, Aug 30: Nepali leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane took two wickets to help his team Jamaica Tallawahs gain a victory in the Carribean Premier League T20 tournament. In the match held on Saturday night, Jamaica defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 37 runs.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Jamaica scored 147 runs for 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply, St Kitts were all out in 19.4 overs with only 110 runs on the board.
In the match, Sandeep took two wickets and gave away only 27 runs. With this, Sandeep's wicket tally in the tournament has reached nine wickets in six matches.
Jamaica has now climbed to the third position in the points table. It will now play against Tribago Knight Riders on Tuesday.
