KATHMANDU, Sept 17: With the motto of ‘Brewing Friendship, Celebrating Life’, San Miguel Beer Festival 2017 presented by Radio Nagarik 96.5 gave the visitors the time of their lives. It was hosted in Bhrikuti Mandap garden area, Kathmandu on Saturday.

Everyone enjoyed a free beer with their entry tickets along with various foods provided by Bajeko Sekuwa, Frens Café, and The Village Café. The visitors were also delighted with the free wifi in the area.

The festival had several games for the visitors like Beer Pong, Fill the Jar, Chug the Beer, Lip Sync Battle, Freeze Dance Game and many more. From throwing a ball in a cup to wining a beer by syncing lips with the song playing in the background, all the games were open to anyone who wanted to have some fun. Also, Radio Nagarik offered free beers to those who downloaded their app.

“I loved the games which were really interesting. I participated in the Beer Pong and Lip Sync competitions. The adrenaline rush to win was so high,” said 19-year-old Surya Sharma, an attendee.
Though some stalls relished more customers than the others, everyone had a fantastic time because of the musical performances. The Pariwartan Band started off the program with high intensity and gathered a good sum of crowd.

With a beer in a hand and music rocking their ears, the audience was having a great time. Later on, Big Smile and DJ Puchhey gave the visitors every reason to move their bodies and dance to their beats.

“The food is great and the games are even better. I hope to visit the program if it happens again,” said a foreign tourist, who was enjoying the food in the lawn area.

The first beer festival attracted numerous visitors and made their time worthwhile. The food and the beer blended in perfectly with the live musical performances.
