Singer Sameer Hamal won the ‘Best Pop Singer’ award in the fourth BF Dear Hill National Capital Award which was held at Kathmandu, on Sunday. Singer Hamal later commented, “I am very pleased to win the award. This award has inspired me to sing better songs in the future.”

Likewise, Ashok Darji and Tanka Budathoki won the award for the best duet song. In the same event, Ananda Karki and Lochan Bhattarai were also honored with the decade’s singer's award, and singer/musician Deepak Jung was honored the lifetime achievement award for his contributions in the Nepali music fraternity. Chief Guest of the event, the legendary Prem Dhoj Pradhan was also honored in the same event.
