Sahas to co-sponsor Pulsar sports award

KATHMANDU, August 28: Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) has signed co-sponsorship deal with Sahas Sports Private Limited for upcoming 14th Pulsar Sports Award to be held in September 11.

KATHMANDU, August 28: Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) has signed co-sponsorship deal with Sahas Sports Private Limited for upcoming 14th Pulsar Sports Award to be held in September 11. 


Award organizer NSJF’s Mahesh Acharya and Managing Director of Sahas, Janak Neupane, signed the agreement paper amid a function organized in Kathmand on Monday. As per the agreement Sahas will provide different kind of kits needed for the edition award ceremony which will be worth Rs 300,000 to NSJF.


Neupane said he felt proud for his company’s association with a national level award.

“This award has national recognition and to get associated with such prestigious award is really a proud moment for us. Hopefully we will continue this tie-up for many years to come,” said Neupane. 

NSJF President Mahesh Acharya expressed his happiness for the deal with Sahas. “Such supports certainly motivate us. It would be great if this partnership will continue for years,” said Acharya. 


The sport award that is organized by NSJF every year honors Nepali sports officials and players on the basis of their contribution and performance in the year of 2073 BS. The players and officials are awarded under eight categories that include best male, best female and youth players of the year, best coach, people’s choice, special, para athlete and the lifetime achievement award. 


The nominees for people’s choice award have already been disclosed which includes judoka Phupu Lhamu Khatri, athlete Kanchi Maya Koju, swimmer Gaurika Singh, footballer Sujal Shrestha and cricketer Dipendra Singh Airee.


Likewise the nominees for best player male, female, youth and coach categories will be unveiled in coming weeks, the winners for the special, para athlete and lifetime achievement will be announced directly during the award ceremony.
