KATHMANDU, Jan 14: The 20th annual general meeting (AGM) of Sagarmatha Insurance Company Ltd has passed a proposal to distribute 22 percent bonus shares and 1.15 percent cash dividend (for tax purposes) to its shareholders from the profit earned in Fiscal Year 2015/16.
Issuing a statement, the insurance company said it recorded a profit of Rs 206.75 million in the last fiscal year, a 175.48 percent increase on the previous year’s figures.
According to the company, it is operating through a head office and 33 branch offices, and is planning to increase the number of branch offices to 42.
