KATHMANDU, Dec 1 : Nepal made its happy opening in the 13th South Asian Games by winning Kho Kho match in both women and men's category today. In the Nepal versus Bangladesh match, the Nepali women team became the winner by defeating its competitor by 11-9 points.
With this, the squad has three points in its pocket. Nepal which chose to running in the first inning collected 11 points in the first turn. Nepal, giving its outstanding performance confined the rival team to five points. So in the end of the first inning, it found in a stronger position with 11-5. During the first turn of second inning, Bangladesh was able to just garner four points, allowing Nepal win the match before the completion of one more remaining turn.

Nepal will face India tomorrow. Similarly, towards the men's category, Nepal won the match against Bangladesh. In the match held in Kirtipur, Nepal beat Bangladesh by 21-19 and collected three points. Nepal which took the role of chasers during the first turn of first inning garnered 12 points and the rival team secured the equal points in the second turn.
Nepal was in the position of 21-12 during the first turn of second inning and in the third turn, when Bangladesh collected seven points, Nepal become the winner by 21-19. In Nepal's victory, Dhan Prasad Chaudhary, Kushal Mechhe and Ganesh Biswakara each secured four points. Nepal will meet India for the second match today. In another match held today, India beat Sri Lanka by 21-8.
